Bisa dikatakan Selasa, 2 Mei 2012 adalah tanggal “Naik Haji” bagi para penikmat dan pemuja musik J-Rock di tanah air. Pasalnya, L’arc-en-ciel, band rock Jepang yang begitu ikonik dan sangat populer sejak era sembilan puluhan itu akhirnya dapat disaksikan secara langsung dalam gelaran L’arc-en-ciel World Tour 2012.

Hyde (vokal), Tetsuya (bass), Ken (gitar), dan Yukihiro (drums) memasukkan Jakarta sebagai pelabuhan kesembilan dalam rangkaian tur dua puluh tahun eksistensi mereka di industri musik dunia. Tak heran banyak dari Cielers Indonesia (sebutan bagi penggemar L’arc-en-ciel di Indonesia) yang menyebut gelaran ini sebagai sebuah mimpi yang menjadi kenyataan.

Para penonton nampaknya ingin segera mewujudkan mimpi di tidur panjang mereka lebih awal. Ini terlihat dari adanya kerumunan yang mulai memadati Lapangan D Senayan, Jakarta sejak pukul satu siang. Padahal, jauh hari sebelumnya, pihak promotor telah menghimbau kepada para penonton agar tidak datang terlalu pagi. Toh, pada akhirnya pintu utama pun baru dibuka pukul empat sore.

Antrian mengular selepas pintu pertama dibuka akhirnya surut sekitar pukul delapan. Sayangnya, semua penonton yang sudah berada di masing-masing tiga kelas festival di depan panggung masih disuguhi panggung raksasa seluas delapan puluh meter yang sunyi dan senyap. Tiga layar LED: dua kiri-kanan dan satu LED besar yang memenuhi latar panggung juga tampak hitam gelap.

Gerimis pun sempat ingin menjadi penampil pembuka pada malam itu. Puluhan panitia yang sedang bersiap tampak kebingungan mengamankan panggung, lighting, dan kelengkapan sound system agar tidak terjadi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan jika hujan benar-benar turun.

Setengah jam lebih dengan panggung kosong, ketiga layar LED itu akhirnya hidup dan menayangkan tampilan visual apik sebagai intro penyambut naiknya para personel ke atas panggung. Penonton yang sudah mulai bosan sontak berteriak histeris dengan tampilan visual khas L’Anniversary Tour yang menampilkan visualisasi futuristik.

Tepat setelah video yang menampilkan Hyde dalam bentuk robot usai, kwartet asal Osaka, Jepang ini pun langsung menggebrak dengan single pembuka “Ibara No Namida.” Histeria penonton semakin menjadi-jadi tatkala Hyde maju ke depan panggung di temani gitaris Ken dan Bassist Tetsuya.

Dua single anyar dari album Butterfly, “Chase” dan “Good Luck My Way” didapuk sebagai dua lagu selanjutnya. Sayang, keluaran sound yang kurang maksimal untuk band sekelas L’Arc-en-Ciel cukup mengganggu kekhidmatan para penonton.

“Halo Jakarta. Kami L’arc-en-Ciel. Kamu senang bertemu aku? Aku juga,” ucap Hyde pertama kali menyapa para penonton usai lagu ketiga. Dengan menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia yang terbata-bata sambil sesekali melihat contekan, vokalis bernama asli Hideto Takarai ini berusaha ramah dalam sesi MC berbahasa Indonesia yang semuanya dibawakan oleh L’Arc-en-Ciel sendiri.

Konser segera dilanjutkan dengan lagu upbeat “Honey,” sebuah nomor lawas yang cukup populer dari album Ray di tahun 1999. Tak perlu menunggu lama, lagu ini langsung membuat seluruh isi Lapangan D Senayan bergema koor massal kompak.

Drummer Yukihiro yang paling pendiam diantara ketiga personil lainnya mencoba berinteraksi dengan caranya sendiri sesaat sebelum lagu “Revelation” dimainkan. Personil terakhir yang bergabung dengan L’Arc-en-Ciel itu memainkan beat drum seperti beat “We Will Rock You” milik Queen yang kemudian disambut teriakan “Ooooiii…!!!” dari para penonton.

“Hitomi No Juunin” menjadi lagu kedua yang dibawakan dari album Smile (2004) setelah “Revelation”. Lagu ini menjadi salah satu lagu yang cukup dinanti mengingat single ini pernah mondar-mandir di berbagai stasiun radio tanah air pada eranya. Dengan tempo yang lambat, lagu ini cocok untuk menjadi lagu penarik nafas sebelum akhirnya berjingkrak kembali di lagu-lagu lainnya.

“Mantap! Mantap!” ujar gitaris Ken di tengah-tengah jalannya konser. Figur paling kocak pada band yang lahir sejak 1991 ini pun memulai aksi MC Bahasa Indonesia dengan ujaran “Mantap!”.? Maksud hati ingin menceritakan pengalamannya selama di Jakarta, sesi MC Ken malah terlihat seperti sesi komedi panggung malam itu. Penonton pun dibuat tertawa terbahak-bahak oleh sang gitaris.

Di tengah-tengah sesi MC-nya, Ken memberikan buah tangan yang ia dapatkan ketika sedang berjalan-jalan di Jakarta. Sekotak paket berisi wayang, miniatur gamelan, serta sebuah suling bambu diberikan Ken kepada sang pentolan. Ketidaktahuan Hyde dalam memainkan suling yang diberikan Ken sontak jadi bahan tertawaan para penonton yang hadir.

Sesi pengundang tawa lainnya adalah ketika Tetsuya mulai menjadi MC. “Halo, gua Suju dari Korea, ooopppsss,” ujar pendiri band ini sambil bercanda. Penonton langsung tertawa secara kompak mendengar lelucon Tetsu.

“Seventh Heaven”, “Drivers High”, “Stay Away”, hingga “Ready Steady Go” secara berturut-turut dibawakan dengan penuh impresi. Tata visual panggung yang berkualitas, dengan menampilkan live viewing di LED kiri-kanan panggung tanpa delay sedkit saja membuat konser ini layak mendapat acungan dua jempol. Sayangnya hal ini tidak diimbangi dengan kualitas tata suara yang tak kunjung membaik hingga akhir acara.

Sebagai penutup, “Anata”, “The Fourth Avenue Caf?”, “Link”, hingga lagu wajib “Niji” menjadi encore yang sempurna untuk gelaran pertama Hyde cs di Tanah Air. Konserpun di akhiri dengan sesi lempar pisang dan permen lolly pop oleh bassist Tetsu yang biasa ia lakukan di setiap konsernya.

Sayangnya, sebuah proyek bernama “Bless Project” yang sempat dipersiapkan para Cielers Indonesia kurang berhasil dibawakan mengingat sukarnya koordinasi penonton yang berjumlah lebih dari tujuh ribu orang malam itu. Sekedar catatan, “Bless Project” merupakan ucapan terima kasih para penggemar untuk L’Arc-en-Ciel dengan menyanyikan lagi “Bless” di akhir konser secara bersama-sama.

Akhir kata, meskipun kurang maksimal dalam divisi suara, namun aksi panggung L’Arc-en-Ciel beserta tata visual panggung yang memukau cukup membuat penampilan debut ini sangat berkesan.
